Welcome to Areté Learning Trust. Areté Learning Trust is a values-led Multi Academy Trust serving communities across North Yorkshire and Redcar and Cleveland. Our Trust is guided by a clear moral purpose: to ensure every learner is inspired and enabled to be the best they can be.
We currently work with 11 schools, spanning primary, secondary and sixth-form provision. While we are one Trust, each of our schools retains its own identity, character and strong connection to its local community. We believe that strong schools are rooted in their communities and that local leadership, supported effectively, delivers the best outcomes for children and young people.
A Trust That Supports and Strengthens
Areté Learning Trust exists to support, challenge and develop our schools. We are not a Trust that centralises for its own sake; instead, we focus on building the capacity of Headteachers, leaders and staff so that improvement is owned, sustainable and responsive to local context.
Our Trust team works closely with schools on a daily basis, providing practical, proportionate support aligned to each school’s priorities and stage of development. Decision-making is evidence-informed and driven by impact, with a clear focus on improving outcomes for pupils.

We are ambitious for every learner, regardless of background or starting point. Across the Trust, we work collectively to strengthen:

- behaviour, attendance and safeguarding
