Central Education Team
The role of the Central Education Team (CET) is to secure high standards across all schools, strengthening strong provision while reducing variation in quality and outcomes — a principle often referred to as upward convergence.
To achieve this, the CET fulfils two key functions:
Support Now (reducing disparity)
Taking timely and proportionate action where practice is identified as being below expected standards, in order to secure rapid improvement and safeguard pupils’ outcomes.
Knowledge Building (growing the strongest practice)
Working alongside school leaders to develop high-quality, sustainable provision, building capacity and sharing effective practice as we collectively strive for excellence.
